About the event
As a Consultant General and Trauma Surgeon at the region's major trauma centre, Aintree, Nikhil is on the front line in the fight to save the increasing number of lives threatened by knife crime.
In the face of rising knife crime, Nikhil helped to set up KnifeSavers, a charity aimed at teaching everyone how to be able to stop the bleeding caused by a knife injury - keeping someone alive for long enough to get them an ambulance, and get them to hospital.
After being stabbed, a person can bleed to death in just 5 minutes. A rapid response ambulance often takes 7 minutes to arrive at the scene.
Nikhil has kindly agreed to give us an overview of what they do, and what you should do, to help save lives afflicted by knife crime.
The lecture will commence at 7.00 p.m. and will be preceded by drinks at 6.00 p.m. for those who would like to attend.
Numbers will be limited to allow appropriate social distancing and ensure the safety of our guests. If no tickets are showing below it is likely that we have reached capacity and/or closed registration.
