Dr O’Mahony is a Consultant in Genito-Urinary Medicine at the Countess of Chester Hospital, and also has a private practice at Nuffield Health The Grosvenor Hospital, Chester. He deals with sexually transmitted infections, HIV / AIDS. Dr O'Mahony first qualified in Science (Microbiology) in 1975, and then went on to do Medicine and an MD in Immunology. He practiced in a VD Clinic in Sir Patrick Dunn’s Hospital in Dublin.
Dr O'Mahony came to England in 1986 and obtained a Consultant post in Chester in 1990. He was elected as Chairman of the National Association of GU Doctors in 2001 and to the British HIV Association executive committee in 2005. He was the chairman of the British Association for Sexual Health…
