About The Event
A chance to socialise with all our members at one of the most important events of the year; a lavish three course black tie dinner not to be missed!
Dr O’Mahony is a Consultant in Genito-Urinary Medicine at the Countess of Chester Hospital, and also has a private practice at Nuffield Health The Grosvenor Hospital, Chester. He deals with sexually transmitted infections, HIV / AIDS. Dr O'Mahony first qualified in Science (Microbiology) in 1975, and then went on to do Medicine and an MD in Immunology. He practiced in a VD Clinic in Sir Patrick Dunn’s Hospital in Dublin.
Dr O'Mahony came to England in 1986 and obtained a Consultant post in Chester in 1990. He was elected as Chairman of the National Association of GU Doctors in 2001 and to the British HIV Association executive committee in 2005. He was the chairman of the British Association for Sexual Health and HIV media group and became chair of the EADV media committee in 2009.
Dr Colm O'Mahony, Consultant in Genito-Urinary Medicine, will be our guest speaker for the evening and has featured in “Sex, warts and all” on BBC Choice, Channel 4 series “Let’s talk sex” with Davina McCall, “Girls’ Guide to 21st Century Sex” on Channel 5, and “HIV and me” with Stephen Fry on BBC.
